Filtration system for a controlled pharmaceutical environment.

A pharmaceutical production environment imposes strict air-cleanliness requirements. SAFWAT designed a custom filtration system, integrated within the constraints of the existing workshop.

The system is now continuously monitored to ensure compliance with the contamination thresholds defined by the client.

The study focused on staged filtration — coarse pre-filtration, fine filtration, then absolute filtration at the outlet — to reach the required cleanliness level without imposing excessive pressure drop on the existing ventilation network. Filter housing placement was constrained by the workshop layout, with no rework of the main ductwork.

A periodic filter-replacement plan, based on pressure-drop monitoring rather than a fixed schedule, anticipates fouling before it affects room air quality.
