Ion-exchange demineralization line for steam production.

Steam production required fully demineralized feed water to protect the boilers from scaling and corrosion. SAFWAT installed an ion-exchange demineralization line sized for the site's flow rate.

Since commissioning, steam quality has remained stable, with no incident related to feed-water quality.

The line relies on cationic and anionic resins that regenerate automatically as their exchange capacity approaches its threshold, based on outlet conductivity monitoring rather than a fixed schedule. This control limits regenerant consumption while permanently guaranteeing compliant water quality.

The 120 m³/day flow rate covers the boiler room's full needs, with margin for periods of high steam demand. A regenerant-supply and analytical-monitoring contract accompanies the installation.
