Industrial maintenance in Tunisia

SAFWAT provides preventive and corrective maintenance for your installations, supplies spare parts and delivers technical support. A treatment plant is only worth its availability: it is operation, not installation, that determines its real cost over time.

Preventive and corrective

Preventive maintenance acts before failure, following a plan built around the equipment in place and its operating conditions: replacing consumables, checking wear points, verifying measurements. Its purpose is not to eliminate every failure, but to move the intervention to a moment you choose rather than one you suffer.

Corrective maintenance deals with the failure that has occurred. How long it takes depends largely on what was prepared beforehand — parts availability, knowledge of the installation, measurement history. A site properly covered by preventive maintenance is repaired faster.

On a treatment installation, downtime is in any case rarely confined to the failed equipment: a process water plant that stops halts the production it feeds. That is what justifies treating availability as a design parameter rather than an operational afterthought.

Spare parts and technical support

Parts availability directly determines how long an outage lasts. Membranes, resins, filters, control components and instruments are consumables whose lead time can far exceed the intervention itself.

Technical support covers remote or on-site diagnosis, assistance to operating teams, and support through performance drifts — the ones that show up not as a shutdown but as falling quality or rising consumption.

Maintenance contracts

A maintenance contract formalises the preventive plan, the terms for corrective intervention and the handling of spare parts. It makes operating cost predictable, which is often its main attraction compared with maintenance handled case by case.

We put in place a maintenance and spare parts contract in Nabeul, and process supervision in Gabès. Maintenance leans heavily on instrumentation: without a measurement history, a preventive plan is just a calendar, when it ought to follow the real condition of the equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Do you maintain installations you did not build?
Yes. We provide technical expertise and maintenance on existing installations, regardless of the original manufacturer.
What does a maintenance contract cover?
The preventive maintenance plan, the terms for corrective intervention and the handling of spare parts. The exact content is defined around the equipment in place, how critical it is and the level of availability expected.
Do you supply spare parts separately?
Yes, parts can be supplied independently of a maintenance contract.
